Original Jack

Original Jack

19:00

Original Jack are a four piece rock band from Basingstoke creating original and exciting music! Our songs have a solid foundation based on our love for rock n roll music from the `50s` to current times, between us we have many years playing experience as a base for our songs which are developed over time rather than written in a genre specific and one dimensional style, we often modify the songs for a bit of diversity, we believe that there is always room for a bit of variety and that a song does not have to stay the same forever, the song lyrics can be witty, sarcastic, thoughtful and based on real life themes that affect everyone, we definitely DONT do love songs! The sound of our songs ranges from heavy rock to pshychedelic rock to punk/new wave to pop to reggae to rhythm and blues to rock n roll, its whatever sounds good for the lyrics with something different thrown in for good measure.

Green Embers

Green Embers

18:00

The Green Embers are a local Basingstoke band with a bag full of anthems. This band plays all original music which has been featured on BBC introducing. We have been described as a “reckless wall of sound”. We don’t play covers – just original songs with catchy melodies and riffs and a mix of hard and soft but always driving rock.

We are becoming well established across a wide area and we play in and around Basingstoke, Winchester, Alton, Reading, Southampton and increasingly at some iconic venues in London. Bugbear Promotions described us as “A soulful indie rock of an Elbow bent with U2 widescreen atmospherics, hence Ms Lauren Laverne is all over them like a rash, well, she likes ’em, and we actually quite like that!”

The band members all live in the Basingstoke area and we are Matt (guitar and lead vocals), George (drums), Steve (keyboards and backing vocals) and Tom (bass). Together we span a number of decades and genres and we bring that to our music.
