Can tickets be purchased on the day of the event?

Yes, there will be a ticket office at the Main Entrance and the Car Park Entrance, with the exception of the Weekend Rover tickets that can only be purchased in advance, however there may be limited availability of on the day tickets and these are more expensive.

Is there a taxi rank?

The nearest Taxi Rank to site is less than five minutes’ walk away, on New Road, next to Domino Pizza.

Is there a shuttle bus to the venue from Basingstoke Train Station?

No, OctoberFest is only a convenient 10 to 15 minutes walk away from Basingstoke Train Station, Festival Place and the bus station.

Is there on site parking?

Yes parking is available although the space is extremely limited and we would recommend that you use local transport.

Can I leave my car overnight?

Yes, the car park will close at the end of each day and will be locked. We also have 24hour security, however cars are left at the owners own risk and the event organisers cannot accept and responsibility for any damage or theft. You can collect your car from 9am the next day when the car park will re-open.

Will I be able to pay with my debit/credit card?

You can purchase tickets with a credit/debit card from the main entrance only. You can also purchase drinks tokens from the main entrance. Card payment can be used at all bars.

Is there a Cash Point Machine on site?

No – the nearest cash points are situated on London Street which is just a short 5 minute walk away.

What time are last orders?

Last orders (Friday/Saturday) are at 11.30pm, with the event finishing at 12.00am. The site must be clear by 12.15pm ready to close. Last orders (Sunday) are at 3.30pm, with the event finishing at 4pm. No open alcohol containers may be taken from the venue.

Is there anything else to drink other than beer?

Yes, we have a range of ciders, as well as a range of wines and gins, as well as soft drinks available.

CAMRA members are free as long as they show current membership cards but may be requested to show secondary proof of membership, this is for free entry. Festival glasses and programmes will be charged for. Any accompanying guest must pay the full admission fee.


Any Cricket/Sports Club member can gain free entry once only on each of the three days by producing proof of identity and it being cross checked against the supplied membership list held in the ticket office. Festival glasses and programme will be charged for.

Is Hampshire’s OctoberFest dog friendly?

Apologies but only assistance dogs are allowed on site.


The site is fully accessible and has disabled toilet facilities, this is an outdoor event with marquees with matting flooring all with level access. One carer accompanying a registered disabled person can have free entry but valid disabled badge must be shown on entry.

What is your refund policy?

The organiser reserves the right not to refund any purchaser. Request for refunds prior to the event for tickets bought on line must be submitted to Anvil Arts. Request for refunds made during the event opening hours must be submitted in person to the event organiser prior to ground entry. Request for refunds following entry to the ground must be made in writing stating the reason for said request with supporting evidence. Requests for refunds post event should be made in writing within 48 hours of the conclusion of the event with supporting evidence. The organiser shall consider the request within 7 working days and has complete jurisdiction over any refund award.
